Bio of Janelle Belgrave Janelle Belgrave was born on May 20th, 1983 in Toronto. Janelle comes from a culturally diverse background. Her mom is Filipino and her father is Bajan. She is very family-oriented as she was raised in a single-parent home by her mother, who is a huge source of inspiration for Janelle. Janelle starting singing when she was only three years old and started dancing when she was four. She has studied ballet, jazz and tap. Janelle attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts from grade nine until OAC. Her major was Musical Theatre and she was very active in school musicals, fundraisers and various other variety shows. Janelle also loves sports and was the captain of the basketball and volleyball teams. The biggest love in Janelle’s life right now is performing. “I love to sing, dance and perform. Music is a huge part of my life and without it, there is no me. Music is the language that can guide me through anything.” Janelle is thrilled with what the experience in Popstars – Boy Meets Girl has given her. She has met and worked with wonderful people and she can’t wait to share her music with the world.
